Tri-District Arts Consortium

In 1985, Tri-DAC was formed to serve artistically gifted and
talented middle school students.

The Tri-District Arts Consortium was formed by three midlands  districts — Lexington One, Lexington-Richland Five, and Richland Two, to serve artistically gifted and talented, middle school students. A pilot program was held at Columbia College in 1985 with an enrollment of 150 students.

Since then, the growth of Tri-DAC has been tremendous.

We now serve 360 rising 6th through 9th grade students in seven art areas. Generously hosted by Columbia College for 23 years, Tri-DAC is now hosted by the Palmetto Center of the Arts at Richland Northeast High School. The program is financed through the three districts and student tuition.
