We are thrilled to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Tri-District Arts Consortium (Tri-DAC).
The three-week summer program was piloted in 1986 by Lexington School District One, Richland School District Two and School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties. As a result of the three districts’ unique vision, out-of-the-box innovation and impeccable leadership, Tri-DAC was created to identify, select and serve artistically gifted and talented rising 6th through rising 9th grade students.
Since the 150 students served in our inaugural year, our growth has been breathtaking. We now serve over 500 students each summer, and the program has become a model for similar programs throughout South Carolina.
The longevity of Tri-DAC truly belongs to the collective, including our three sponsoring school districts, students, teachers, guest artists, staff, parents, donors and volunteers who have shaped the organization.
This milestone belongs to you—our community, whose passion and support have fueled our 'inner flame' for 40 years.
This 40th anniversary beckons us to celebrate our enduring legacy and to look forward to the promise of new artistic horizons, reaffirming Tri-DAC as a welcoming open door to countless future young artists who deserve the opportunity to discover, explore and develop their talent.
We hope that you will join us.
